What People Say
“Fanatical game hunters, my wife and I, so the notion of a restaurant serving flying rhinoceros intrigued us, to say the least. Clad in our pith helmets and armed to the teeth, we schlepped the minivan over to Shrewsbury Street. No big game, but The Flying Rhino does offer some of the finest, most exciting fare in town, in a dazzling, artful setting…”

“Was there with my Worcester Family for Easter Brunch! Let me first explain, I do not like Buffets, but what else is there on Easter. This Buffet was the best Buffet I have been at in years and years! The food was hot when it was suppose to be hot and chilled (great grilled/ chilled vegetable platter) when it was suppose to be. The table arrangement was very attractive, in terms of lay out and in food color choices. Now the food, it was all tasty!!! Some typical items such as corn beef and ham, but moist with a ton of flavor, and the corn beef sauce was elegant. The young man carving was friendly, informative about the sauce and helpful. The fish dish, white fish stuffed with crabmeat and lobster stuffing was packed with texture, flavor and a little heat. I would go back and order that again as it was so good. My daughter in-law made a great choice in her reservation, and we will be eating there definitely again.”

“We went for lunch on a Thursday and everything was perfect. Our server was attentive but not hovering over us, our food was incredible, we met the chef and he was incredibly kind, and we loved the decor/atmosphere. I got the CowboyBurger with Fries and Truffle Aioli and my boyfriend got the Sticky Pork with Zucchini Papardalle and Smoky Sweet Potato Purée. The food tasted just as good as it looked! We’re already planning our next trip back! Oh and the bathrooms were in excellent condition…clean and well-designed. (There’s a men’s room, a women’s room, and a unisex bathroom which is also handicapped-accessible.)”

“I first “discovered” this restaurant about a year ago on the Shrewsbury shuffle and have been several times since and each experience makes my top 10 restaurant experiences in Worcester. Some that come to mind are, going for a three course meal during restaurant week, discovering their bucket of beers, going after their menu change. And in fact I recommended to it to a fellow student who took her parents and all of them loved it! Their menu is always fun and exciting and I always have trouble deciding what to get but have yet to be disappointed.”

“I’ve been here twice and both times it was delicious. The service is wonderful, they are attentive and friendly. Their veggie burger is one of the most flavorful ones in Worcester. My boyfriend had their chicken and waffle sandwich and ate it within 5 minutes- said it was incredible. Would definitely recommend trying The Flying Rhino. If you go in the summer try to sit outside, it is a lot of fun people watching. Great place!”

“I love the often changing menu which has so many different creative choices but not weird at all. The Cajun swordfish sandwich is excellent. The sweet potato salad has an unexpected kick to it. The mojito is delicious and I love that they offer Sunday brunch now. I had the steak and eggs with arugula and it was fantastic.”

“On a street known for Italian food, my husband and I have a favorite casual eatery, Flying Rhino. However, the food is not Italian. Instead, it is an eclectic mixture of international cuisine…”
